Today’s speaker was Andy Leader with a presentation entitled Pennine Impressions, though he quickly hastened to add that this did not involve impersonations or funny faces!
It was indeed a delightful and fascinating programme of photographs taken by him over a number of years depicting the beauty and variety of the landscape which surrounds us all. The benefit of being out in the countryside during the very early and later portions of the day were self-evident, given the different variety of tones of light and shade, emphasising the natural beauty of the landscape. Some pictures are available only for a split second, and virtually impossible to recreate at other times.
He agreed to be a judge for our own photographic competition – let’s wait and see if we have any entries to judge!
