Tom gave an interesting talk on the "Stanza Stones" - a series of poems written by Simon Armitage and carved on stones at various locations between Marsden and Ilkley.

He was involved in surveying likely locations then worked with Simon and the sculptor, Pip Hall, to select the best locations. The six poems are all based on a water theme - Snow, Rain, Mist, Dew, Puddle and Beck.

There is a guide to the Stanza Stones trail at Stanza Stones Trail Guide if you feel like a walk, or better still split it into the 6 walks in the guide rather than all 47+ miles of the trail between Marsden and Ilkley.
