Probus Club of Meltham

The speaker at the last meeting was Susan Franklin and the subject was “My life as an actor”.

Susan initially spoke about Parkinson’s disease, which she is proud to support and be proactive in giving help in the quest to find a cure. She then told of her childhood moving around and going to many schools. Susan felt that having to fit in with new peer groups on numerous occasions was good practice for her career in acting. Susan gave us a glimpse of her life at theatre school and an acting career at times working with household names. She spoke of her love is the stage but she has appeared in many things on TV including the Casualty series. During her talk she answered some questions which were asked and these responded to well.
