So You still don't know who I am?

Today’s speaker was Peter Slater, who’s talk was called You still don’t know who I am. Peter spent over 40 yrs as a BBC Sports reporter, firstly with local commercial radio, in the North East, then in Suffolk reporting on Ipswich Town. He joined the BBC radio sports department in 1985. Peter has travelled all over the world reporting on Football, Formula 1, Rallying and the Tour de France. He was once thrown off the pitch at Wembley Stadium during a live interview and told a story of being assaulted by Damon Hill. He has interviewed many famous sporting celebrities including probably the most famous Muhammad Ali. He recently published a book called ” Don’t you know who I am “ and he entertained us with stories and anecdotes from the book including such people as Mark Philips, Ozzie Osbourne, Paul Gascogne and Geoff Boycott.
