Today’s speaker was Patricia Bell who gave her second presentation on Little Known London.
She gave an audio visual presentation starting with pictures of Pudding Lane relating to the Great Fire 1666 and leading us through St Pauls, Tower Hill, and Samuel Pepys place and then to St Olave's Church of Skulls relating to the great plague of 1665. The Cholera pump with no handle and then Dick Whittington's iffie cat story was followed by the lottery of red, white or black balling when considering children saved in the Foundling Hospital.
