Past Times in West Yorkshire
Noel Moroney
Today's speaker was the return of Noel Moroney who spoke on "Past times in West Yorkshire".
He emphasised he was born in Dublin at Christmas hence his name which is sadly abbreviated as Moron on his driving licence.
He gave an interesting overview of famous names, places and saying that originate in West Yorkshire. Including local links with Napoleon, the Gibbet near Halifax, Titus Salt and his impact on the area and the Fatorini family around Bradford. He also spoke about Patrick Bronte and the Shelf man who broke the bank of Monte Carlo.
